Salman Nazir joined the PSE Lab as a PhD student in 2011. After three years of research activity under the supervision of prof. Davide Manca, Salman earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering (focused on Industrial Safety and Human Factors) on March 10, 2014. The title of his PhD thesis is:
Improving Industrial Safety by Novel Training and Assessment Methods (development, testing and validation).
During his PhD he achieved several awards and distinctions, some of which are highlighted below:
- Co-authored 21 papers
- Visiting PhD student at some research groups in Germany and Norway
- Collaborated with experts from Human Factors as an efforts to develop multidisciplinary research themes at PSE-Lab
- Received the title of PhDÂ Cum Laude (highest honor)
On completion of the PhD, Salman Nazir has continued to work as Research Fellow/PostDoc at PSE-Lab.Â
