Juan Pablo Gutierrez is a Chemical Engineer and was awarded a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Coming from Argentina, Juan joined the PSE-Lab in September 2017, promoted by the ERASMUS Sustaint-T Program of the European Commission. The aim of his stay is to evaluate the potential of CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery (CO2 EOR) to be implemented in his home country. His analysis takes into consideration the three pillars of sustainability.
His research background includes Process engineering, natural gas, and oil technologies. Modeling, conceptual design, optimization, and control of natural gas conditioning processes. Design and economical evaluation of projects, CO2 EOR projects.
Besides the research activity at PSE-Lab, Juan is collaborating as a tutor for the labs of “Dynamics and control of chemical processes”, for Master students of Chemical Engineering.
